The Ability Counts Football League (FE) is for players in FE
Colleges with disabilities.
This league allows male players regardless of ability, the
opportunity to play football at a level that they can enjoy. The
league programme is 'pan-disability' and games are small-sided with
teams playing 4v4, 5v5, 6v6 or 7v7. 'Flexiblity' is the key word
with the playing format tailored to suit the needs of those taking
part.
Teams play about 8 or ten 'league' matches across the season at
regional and sub-regional events, between October and May. A
college from each Regional league will also have the opportunity to
represent their region in the National Championships at the
University of Bath in March/April
Kick Off at FE
For colleges that are unable to sustain regular competition,
'Kick off at FE' is an initiative whereby a number of events are
run each year with the aim to encourage new participants to start
playing football fixtures.
Colleges who are then able to form a new team will have the
opportunity to join their regional Ability Counts Football league
and play regular fixtures as part of a nationally recognised
league.
